Hayden running the show...Well the macs at least. This was taken in Abu Dhabi Palace doing speaker prep and operating the show. You might wonder why the puffy jacket, but it was freezing in the ballroom...Why is AC in the UAE either off or on Polar blast? You will note the nice looking Macs behind me...They are ours FYI. I was also booked to handle the speaker prep, management and operate the show. Glad everyone is coming around to our thinking...Macs are just better for AV Control!!

We are now all setup in our new office. We have moved from Vista Tower which was far less than ideal and now have an office in the Stroall self storage facility in Jebal Ali Industrial Park 2. We are still getting it arranged but we are stoked with it. We have much better parking for trucks, easy access, and close to DIP and major highways. We have more room for prep and testing so it saves us loads of time. Everything gets checked in and out, even the screen adapters. We also have 24 hour access so we can still pull of the last minute miracles we are known for. Once again supporting Accent Events with the Lynx Festival of Creativity and Awards. This is our 3 year supplying and working with Accent. We supplied the Macs for control and ran Q-lab on a Macbook pro for the awards stings. Over 200 cues in my deck for the show!! Considering my first ever cue was 1 x playback of the little Spanish Flea when I was 11 years old in a school show...Now over 20 years on, I'm still hitting cues...and loving it! It's one hell of a rush waiting to start a show! Then hearing, Go Q-Lab....I feel chills sitting here writing this. I showed these to another audio visual colleague and his comment was "owww, NICE!!". We are stocked with them. These were custom made for us to our specs. They hold up to 20 iPads and they have a secure lid that keeps them safe. They also double as an awesome charging station. Plug in the chargers and you can charge them while staying tidy. We currently have 5 of them so we can store up to 100 iPads, however very likely we will get more as need requires. We have seen a few other flight cases around Dubai for iPads, but nothing as slick as there. Wait I hear you say...What about the added weight, aren't they hard to move? Our Macs are Perfect for Design work. These were used for design and video editing at the Youth Connect Expo 2020 in Dubai. These look super stylish and worked amazingly well.  The concept was really cool. a couple of teenagers were being shown how to edit and create different concepts which were shown later in the event in the "TV Studio". Glad to be supporting Jack Morton on this job. Great to work with!!

Our Mac's were the Stars really...They ran the show flawlessly. This is the third year we have supplied the Macs that run the show and designed the Keynote presentation. We also run Q-lab for the walkup stings and tracks. The Keynote is very video heavy so we put the Macbook retina on as they make short work of large files. Q-lab was run from a Macbook Pro and backed up with a 21" iMac. The 21" was mainly there because it was a nicer machine to design the show on. This really is a fun show to work on however it has some challenges. As with a lot of events we didn't get the content until late and then there were lots of updates to the videos.
